Drag racing is a type of motorsport where vehicles compete in a straight-line race over a short distance, typically an eighth-mile . The race is usually run on a dedicated drag strip, which is a flat, straight track designed for this purpose.
in drag racing, two vehicles race side-by-side from a standing start. The goal is to cover the distance in the shortest amount of time. The competition is not just about speed; it’s also about reaction time, as drivers must launch their vehicles as quickly as possible.
The sport is known for its high speeds, powerful engines, and the excitement of the race.
Rowan “The Robot” Parlett is a 12 year old Professional Jr. Dragster driver. Born in Maryland but racing throughout the country Rowan has managed to claim a World Championship already.
In 2021 Rowan was the PDRA Top Jr. Dragster World Champion, the PDRA Sportsman Rookie of the Year and the Summit Pro Stars Champion.
Rowan comes from a racing family with his father, grandfather, great great grandfather, uncles and cousins all racing. He has racing deep in his blood and has grown up at the race track.
